Vanessa Fessenden, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Vanessa is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She has worked extensively with individuals with autism and behavior disorders, providing intervention, designing, implementing, and monitoring behavior analysis programs for clients, parent education, and staff training. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has a Ph.D. in Special Education with an emphasis in autism and applied behavior analysis (ABA) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Vanessa worked as a Behavioral Consultant for children with behavioral disorders and as a Psychological Developmental Counselor. She has also worked as a classroom teacher for children with autism, and as a classroom consultant for Clark County School District. Vanessa has extensive training and experience in ABA techniques including discrete trial teaching, functional behavior assessments, Incidental Teaching, and Positive Behavior Supports.
